hi..just wanna ask if windows server 2003 and windows home server need port forwarding if i wanna access it remotely outside the network?

    If you are on a home network (ie a modem to a router and your servers are plugged in the router) then yes. Since your ISP provides you with 1 IP address (and its probably not static, meaning each time you reset your modem, you get a different one), you need a way to decide which computer gets the data coming into that 1 address. Port forwarding allows you to tell the router that, for instance, any traffic coming in on port 80 should be directed to a given internal IP address (which would be your web server). This way you can have lots of computer accessible from only 1 external IP address.
