I’m out of the country and half.com is banned for some odd reason. But I need to order textbooks now, because I won’t have time once I return home. So I need to access the site through a proxy server. Is it safe for me to put in all my credit information?
Would someone be able to trace back to the exact ISP and the specific computer that the connection originated from? Or is it that the only way they can get your information is if the anonymous proxy owner releases the information?
To answer one question, there isn’t anything I want to hide in particular. I was just curious. If one were to go through multiple anonymous proxies, would someone be able to trace the connection only by contacting the proxies involved and requesting their logs, or is it possible someone be able to trace the connection independently without those logs.
