We used a PIC to control a servo to flip a light switch. We then hosted an Apache server and allowed users to input a string, which would then be translated into a Morse code message by our Python CGI script and displayed by the PIC/servo combination. I currently have a 32 bit version of Windows Server 2003 running. I have checked and made sure the sound works on it. However I can not get the sound to play when I remote into it via Remote Desktop. Ideally I will remote into the server from my laptop and have the sound come out of the Server that is connected to my stereo. I made sure that in the Remote Desktop options “leave sound at remote computer” is enabled. However when I try to play something remotely it says “Bad direct sound” or something lik that. Again, when I am sitting at the server and not remoting in it works fine. Any suggestions on how to get sound to play out of the stereo connected to the server from Remote Desktop? All drivers have been updated on the Server end. Thanks!
Some domain registrars offer anonymous registration or proxy registration when you purchase a domain through their company. This means people cannot just run a WhoIs check on your domain and get your home address and home phone number. I’m considering upgrading my Yahoo mail account, but I won’t bother if no anonymous service is available. I don’t really care to post my home address and telephone number all over the internet. And if you register a domain name without a proxy of some sort, you’re basically doing just that. I know Yahoo keeps my information private now, but do they do the same thing if you register a domain name (which is a little different than their free services) with them?
