I would like to install a software in all my computers ( 6 ) how do i do this all at the same time? or do i have to install it all manually?

I want to copy/paste files/folder from UNIX server and paste them in the same UNIX server but in different folder location. I want to perform this action from my windows XP machine by executing a batch file that connects to UNIX server (can be using either telnet or putty) that copies and paste the files (within same UNIX server) into different folder location.

Appreciate your help in this.

Thanks in advance!

I’m running a small network at home.
Comprised of a Windows server and several desktops running off of it.
I’m currently running Active Directory and other such servers.
Basically, I want to set it up so that all the users can access the same files at any computer they access.

So, if they make a document on computer A they can then go to computer B and find it in the same spot.

Suggestions to what I’m looking for? And how to set it up?

Thanks,
Dale

I am unable to log on to Windows 2003 server via remote desktop when someone else is logged in. I received the following pop up message.

“the terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of connections.” However when the other person is logged out, I am able to logon without any issues. FYI, we are both administrators. When one the person tries to connect to the my session, the I am logged off.
No. We tried that and I am aware of that. Any other suggestions please.

I am trying to figure out a way for remote desktop to give access to multiple users to a Windows 2003 Server. When one user is already logged in via Remote Desktop using the admin account, and there is another user who wants to log in using the same admin account, it gives the error that the previous user must log out before he can log in.

Is there a moderately painless way of resolving this in order to give them both access at the same time?

Thank you!

I have a netgear router, and wireless network set up. My server is set to be part of “workgroup” as is my vista laptop, vista desktop. My Apple is set to a network called “roberts.” When I got to my network places on my vista machines I can see the other vista machine and the apple computer but not the server. I go to entire windows network and still cannot reach the server. I have all firewalls turned off. I the router set up with port forwarding to allow for remote connections. I enabled the remote desktop and can access my server from vista but not vista from the server. Any ideas?

We mainly use PostgreSQL with Apache on a FreeBSD system, but we would like our server to support MySQL also. Is that possible? Any server admin who can give a little help?

I really like the Linux email server, but also want the simplicity of a Microsoft web server. If not, any suggestions? Cost is a factor. Its for a small office.
