I am using Windows 7 and I’m running a remote desktop connection via a VPN server. Now let’s say I want to open a Word document on that server with MS Word on my own computer without downloading it. Is it possible? How?

I am looking to open two specific ports on Windows Small Business Server 2003. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Update: Sorry, I should’ve been more specific. We’re using something called “server management” which replaces the Windows Firewall.

Can some one please tell me how I can create a shortcut on my computer that opens my universities FTP server in Windows Explorer (NOT INTERNET EXPLORER)

I have Windows 7 Ultimate on one computer and Windows 7 Professional on the other computer

Anyone who can tell me how to do this will get 10 points for the first answer that works so please no silly answers.
