So I have this Linux email server that I’m trying to connect with my godaddy.com address. I’m running Ubuntu command line on it and postfix etc. However I have no idea how you would put it on a web address. Is there anyone who has experience in this that would be willing to help me out?

I cannot download the messages online onto my computer and I will be losing access to my account in a few days. I have the information for my account but for some reason I cannot download new or old messages into Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail (even though both programs have confirmed my settings are correct). If anyone can help me, I’ll give you 10 points.

i need a proxy that will let me check my email at school. but it has to be one that isnt listed under secureity block as anonymizers. any help would be nice. thank you. and maybe please throw in one for myspace and facebook.

I have a yahoo email account and I am trying to figure out what Information I have to add to windows mail.
what incoming email server type- POP3, IMAP, or HTTP.
what incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server?
and what outgoing email server (SMTP) name?

I’ve tried deleting all information from windows mail, and windows live mail.
I think it’s all gone – but still “sucking” the mail off the server.
Any ideas?

How can I configure a Linux server as an email server? Also I need to set up an emailing programme on my own premises but route it through a dedicated root server in a server warehouse. The mail should go out from port 26.

Does anyone know the server information for Yahoo mail? I am trying to activate an email account using Windows Mail, but at the end of the ‘installation’ a window pops up titled ‘Logon to pop.mail.yahoo.com (1)’ and states ‘Please verify that both the username and password are correct for your mail server.’ Within the box is a orange flower. I entered all my info but it denies it. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thank you.

I will be getting my own dedicated server soon and while I have a functional knowledge of the concepts of Linux, I don’t know everything. Will my server be reasonably secure if I am sure to keep everything updated and patched (assume there are no PHP scripts vulnerable to SQL injection etc.)

I’m setting up a server in my home for a new business. I’m running SuSE Linux 10.1 and would like to know what I need to do to setup a mail server. The web server is no problem, but I don’t know what’s involved in hosting my own mail. How does another server know where to send mail? How does the server get it? Any good and informative sites and links would also be appreciated.

Windows Mail setup requires server information to set up my Yahoo e-mail account and use it as my mail browser. Is this possible?
