windows server 2003 please let me know.
Hello, I wanted to get connected to my windows server 2003 from my laptop. But it only works when im in the same building. But as soon as i connect from another building it does not work. Someone told me that i need to set up a virtual private network? is this true? If it is, how do i do it?
I have it plugged into my IBM Thinkpad and into the wall and it doesn’t come up, I think I might have to update the drivers to make it work but I am not sure where I have to go to do that.

I have read something about changing the DNS address to 127.0.0.1 or something like that, but I’m not entirely positive how to do that?
