Checking the Properties of My Computer shows: System: Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2. I found out that I can have a Windows XP Operating System as well as a Linux Operating System but I don’t know if this also determines my web server or not and how to determine whether I have a Linux Web Server or not.
First: The reason why I need to find out this answer is that I was told in answer to another Yahoo question about how to install a redirect: “If you have a Linux Web server, then do this…”
Secondly: Microsoft Help says “NOTE: Windows XP and Linux can coexist on the same computer. For additional information, refer to your Linux documentation.” Well, I know I have windows. I don’t know if I don’t have Linux. One problem is that I don’t know where to find my Linux documentation–isn’t there some place on my computer where I should be able to look this data up?

I need it to be as optimized as possible since it will be handling a few hundred of requests per second on average.

I am looking for a proxy to get into a forum website that I can no longer access from this ip. I have been trying several different proxy lists, and they do not seem to work. The ones that I do get to work keep getting access denied errors from the website I am trying to access. I need to know what type of proxy I should be looking for, and if possible where I can find the ones I need.

Any proxy servers that I have found (even the ones which people claim “work good”) won’t let me navigate though the functions of websites. For example some links on the page won’t work at all when you click on them. How do you use a proxy server which ACTUALLY works?
