I currently have a 32 bit version of Windows Server 2003 running. I have checked and made sure the sound works on it. However I can not get the sound to play when I remote into it via Remote Desktop. Ideally I will remote into the server from my laptop and have the sound come out of the Server that is connected to my stereo. I made sure that in the Remote Desktop options “leave sound at remote computer” is enabled. However when I try to play something remotely it says “Bad direct sound” or something lik that. Again, when I am sitting at the server and not remoting in it works fine. Any suggestions on how to get sound to play out of the stereo connected to the server from Remote Desktop? All drivers have been updated on the Server end. Thanks!
