I have a windows home server with two 1 TB hard drives with replication on.
I want to add capacity and was thinking at adding a 2 TB external USB drive.
I am wondering whether the drive extender does the replication later or whether it will write to both drives at the same time, one SATA internal and one usb drive resulting in a speed degradation or whether it writes to the fastest and then sync when idle.

if i added SQL server to application server will this increase the speed of the connection with the client application.
