pc-addicts.com – I set this up one morning to help block certain types of content from reaching any of the computers in the house. Also, the other reason I set this up, was for the web proxy caching capabilities. Not only does the sites that are routinely visited come up quicker, but it also limits the amount of bandwidth that we use. http – Website pcatr.im – Twitter pcatr.im – Chat pcatr.im – YouTube pcatr.im – Greatshark IRC pcatr.im – URL Trimming Service

@heiseheise Yo yo… Thats an excellent question. There is an option for Active Directory Authentication. I haven’t tested it out, but I just might this weekend. If I do, I will update this comment for ya.

Happy belated birthday, dude. Quick question – do you know if we can link win2k8′s active directory user lists into this thing’s user manager so that, for example, with the urlfilter you could actually see usernames of who was trying to access which site?

UPDATE: So far, this thing has worked really well for me at home…. very configurable and the proxy is working great!

It’s been a while since I did it, but iirc you need to ftp it to the server, then ssh into the server, run a command, and it’s installed…

@Norheim Thanks… cool, let me know how it goes!

Nice video! I am also recording a decrease in speed when installing copfilter. Turned every service off in copfilter and tested speed. I will try to install the addons like you have. Have a nice day
