I use a proxy server through a VPN connection when connecting to work. I have a direct connection to the internet for personal use. When I switch between work and home my messenger account will not login even after correctly setting my proxy information. I’d like to be able to have messenger running while working it does not accept my proxy. To verify that my proxy is set correctly, I created a new ID and was able to login without any trouble. But once I switched to a direct connection and tried to go back to the proxy, messenger gave me a message that I could not login. Has anyone else solved this issue in the past?
Use a phone instead of messenger.
The issue is probably with the proxy, you may want to check with the support staff.

get a better yahoo messeger
yahoo messenger 5.6.1254 , has no problem login in at all
