Yes. If you sent the information through a proxy, then whoever owns the proxy could have seen your password. I would change it.

absolutely. The person supplying the proxy may be a good honest person, but all your info is stored on his computer as it goes through it to the internet.
Now you must ask yourself, why does a good honest person offer proxies, when proxies are used to bypass systems and deceive people. In other words, the people who use proxies are not a "good honest' citizen themselves.

yes, data could be collected and sold as list to interested parties, eg email addresses for advertising.

Organised crime would collect passwords to scam banking accounts.

a proxy is a server from another computor. for example, if you go to a proxy server online, then the website you type in will go to another computor on another network (another company, home, etc) and use it to bring the website up on your network. thats why when you use it, the suppost-to-be-blocked website loads slower, since its from another source. and it depends on which proxy you use, one that dosnt record is:

hidemyass.com

hav fun on the web!

Proxies are well known for leaking your true IP address. A user on Facebook may not know who you are but Facebook might

Finally even if you get a proxy to work for a short time you are inviting the proxy owner, many of whom are using the proxy for hacking purposes, to infect and or hijack your school or work network. Read more on the problems with proxies below.

ALL IP'S and web traffic is LOGGED so don't bother with proxies they are a waste of time, if an organization wants to track you down they will find you no matter what. Apart from that they can cause all sorts of other problems including browsing problems.
