I’m not a big fan of being monitored, no matter the reason. I also couldn’t help but notice how much slower this web page is after typing “server proxy” into the search bar, when compared to the other tabs I have open. So, how do I know the proxy server I use isn’t a trap? I’m reluctant to use any of them until I know for a fact that my personal information isn’t getting sent out anyway.
TOR is your friend.
Some sites offer a whois link to proxy servers regarding on thier location and general info. But overall is if you don’t know who owns the the server or where its located, then then answer is just a big question mark, and at the end it just depends on luck, so the best solution is connecting through a proxy server owned by someone you know or can trust.

HTTP proxies whatever they told you that no information about you will be collected they lie on you
Php Proxies , Are the same (All depends on the script being used and what the monitoring script been used with it)
Usually in php proxies and others , things can be gathered as Sites you visit , Your Location , Your OS , which browser you do use? and what was the last site your opened before going to proxy and few others.
Off course all depends on the person who is running the proxies and according to his manners it will reflect on his users
I can’t grantee you that other proxies wont gather anything about you.

Well first of all, if it is a free one you found on Google or whatever just assume it is a trap. Why would someone put that much time and effort into creating a product and just give it away? And maybe the persona is a philanthropist, but if that is the case why do they not stand behind their product and make themselves known? A good proxy server shouldn’t slow your connection down all that much.
Ultimately, you want to know who has access to your information–which you won’t know from some freebie site you find on the Internet. With those sites, you don’t know anything about it so why would you trust that? If someone walked up to you on the street and said “Hey here is a Rolex.” Would you take it or be concerned that 1. it’s a fake or 2. it’s stolen.
I know I am in the same position as you–I don’t like being monitored and I want to know for sure if the proxy is legit…which I have found out most of the Google ones do not protect you the way a good proxy should.
